A digital Christmas

It’s been an absolutely hectic few weeks building up to Christmas as my lack of blog posts suggests, but today I was sent a link to the video above which I found fascinating for the clever way it has used digital technologies to tell the age old story of the nativity. I couldn’t help but think that the significance of the various images of technology used may well go right over the heads of anyone who isn’t ‘digitally literate’ in terms of the tools and applications that are common-place online. I guess there will be some who recognise the story, but won’t recognise the clever-ness of the technology and what it represents, while others will be fascinated by the technology use and be wondering about the story?

  1. I wonder if you have to be old enough to know the story well but young enough to engage with social technologies – 55 seems ideal to me 🙂 The video is marvelous.

Season’s greetings and best wishes for a less quakeful New Year.
