Yesterday (13 March) marked the 20th anniversary of of a proposal entitled, “Information Management: A Proposal,” by Tim Berners-Lee, which would become the blueprint for the World Wide Web. Scientific American have published an informative special feature that provides a range of featured articles providing insights and background to this worldwide phenomonon.
Meanwhile, TED Talks have released a video of Tim Berners-Lee speaking about his vision for the next major development of the World Wide Web – Integrated Data – building a web for open, linked data that could do for numbers what the Web did for words, pictures, video: unlock our data and re-frame the way we use it together.
