The Large Hydron Collider that lies underneath the Franco-Swiss border between the Jura Mountains and the Alps near Geneva, Switzerland caught the attention of the world recently  with the experiment designed to replicate the “big bang” that caused the beginning of the universe. Understanding what the Large Hydron Collider is all about and the physics behind it can be a undertaking for anyone – but this rap video from YouTube goes a long way to explaining things 🙂 It’s also a useful example of how the media can be used to represent new ideas and learnings as an alternative to the convetional essay or poster. Just think of the range of skills that would have been involved in putting this clip together.
