Horizon report 2009

The 2009 edition of the Horizon Report has been released, offering some useful insights into trends and predictions about how technology is likely to develop into the future, and the implications of this for education.

The report follows the format of previous years, and of the special Australia/NZ edition, with a project advisory board having worked together (via a wiki) to identify, then rank key trends, and present these in categories according to the anticipated time-to-adoption.

An interesting feature of the Horizon Wiki is a section summarizing what has happened in the areas identified in the various reports dating back to 2004.

The topics for the 2009 Horizon Report are:

Time-to-Adoption: One year or Less

Time-to-Adoption: Two to Three Years

Time-to-Adoption: Four to Five Years
