Tags, tag clouds and tagging are all now familiar terms to anyone who is living in the Web2.0 world, but now it appears that all the cool kids are deep tagging (according to an article in today’s TechCrunch)
Deep tagging is emerging as a cool way for those who are interested in keeping track of clips they encounter in the video sharing world – but instead of simply being associated with a file, a deep tag is associated with a clip from the file. Click on the tag and jump right to that part of the clip.
TechCrunch provide a good intro to the concept, and links to a number of companies that are facilitating deep tagging, such as MotionBox, JumpCut (acquired by Yahoo last week), Viddler and Click.tv.
Just when I thought I’d grasped what tagging is all about….
Hi Derek
I am from the Aoraki ICT Cluster and have been to a number of talks that you have given. At one of them you showed us your blog. Is it possible to download your tags. They looked fantastic.
My del.ici.us site is hercules858705
Many thanks
